structural calculations are prepared based on a site visit from our surveyor. Based on these working items we procure the correct steel supports and prepare the opening.
The next phase is removal of the load bearing rear wall and installation of temporary structural supports using heavy duty accro props.
Installation of a CATNIC CN81C heavy duty load bearing beam. This choice of support allowed us to finish the external side with vertical brick work to match the style of the property.
Temporary hoarding is installed over night to secure the property during the work period.
Structural props remain in place to support the steel beam once installed to allow the curing process of the pad stones to settle with minimum shrinkage and movement across the span of the beam.
Installation of the oak veneer bi fold doors is then completed. The doors are made from slow grown hardwood core and thick real oak veneer (unfinished) with 54mm thick doors, these deluxe 3 door, 2390mm wide (approx 8ft) bi fold doors are built to last. Due to the thickness of the doors and thinner stiles, you gain a bigger glass area with more light penetration
These veneer bi fold doors balance quality and affordability.
Oak veneer bi-fold doors successfully installed. All external making good completed. Client happy and ready to install their kitchen and complete internal renovations.
